Job Summary
Our client, an established interiors fit-out contracting company in Abu Dhabi, is looking for a Site Engineer – Fit-Out to supervise and coordinate site activities and ensure interior fit-out works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily site activities for interior fit-out projects.
- Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved shop drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other site teams.
- Review drawings and identify discrepancies or technical issues before and during execution.
- Monitor progress and ensure activities are completed according to the approved project schedule.
- Supervise installation of partitions, ceilings, flooring, joinery, doors, painting, wall finishes, and other interior works.
- Coordinate material deliveries and ensure materials used on site comply with approved specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and coordinate with consultants for approvals and inspections.
- Prepare and maintain daily site reports, progress updates, inspection requests, and other project documentation.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with required quality and safety standards.
- Identify site issues, coordinate corrective actions, and report major technical or construction concerns to the Project Manager.
- Coordinate with MEP teams to ensure proper integration of MEP services with architectural and fit-out works.
- Assist in quantity verification, measurements, snagging, and project handover.
- Ensure site activities are carried out safely and in compliance with applicable UAE requirements.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant UAE experience in interior fit-out / contracting projects preferred.
- Strong knowledge of interior fit-out construction methods and site execution.
- Good understanding of shop drawings, BOQ, specifications, materials, and construction details.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and MEP drawings.
- Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; knowledge of MS Office and project documentation is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities.
- UAE driving licence is preferred.
- Candidates currently available in the UAE are preferred.
- Immediate joiners will be given preference.
